Who am I?

A multi-disciplinary theatre-maker based in Meanjin. Lover of light, colour and juicy language.

My Practice

I am interested in a variety of areas in theatre-making, performance and design, however, all my artistic practice aligns with the following key principles.

Aenean Consectetur

Embrace the Challenge

Find pleasure in working hard together. In working at your edges and embracing the challenge. In the dedication of loving energy. In the trying and trying again. Find pleasure in finding the limits, and then pushing them.

ConsectUltricies

Attention to detail

Find pleasure in the time it takes to dig deep. In the burning attention to detail. In the joy of a world unfolding in each decision. In the tapestry of conscious choice, folding and twisting meaning. Find pleasure in layers and complex connected thought.

Aenean Consectetur Porta

Appreciation of Beauty and Excellence

Find pleasure in cultivating beautiful moments. In reverent pauses, brilliant colour and soft light. Fight passionately for beauty and excellence. Indulge in poetry and art for meaning AND decoration's sake. Find pleasure in the soft, sweet power or wonder and curiosity.

Indiah Morris and Matias Nuñez particularly impressed as Small and Big, the former giving a wonderfully nuanced performance of a young woman rapidly losing herself to dementia

Nothing Ever Happens In Brisbane

I just hope that audiences have the opportunity to experience Hello Stranger again—and in particular to experience Indiah Morris’s performance, where the tragic journey from lover to patient was portrayed with a raw honesty and poignancy.

Creative Futures

Intricately woven, utterly impressive, and a crash-course in ancestral healing. Shelter deserves all the success it has had commercially and critically, as well as the success I am sure is coming in the near-future.
